Map & Logistics

Do I need a reservation to hike Diamond Head?

Yes. All out-of-state visitors must have a pre-booked reservation from the Hawaii State Parks website to enter the crater. We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance. Note: Your trolley ticket does not include park entry; it is your transportation to and from the trailhead.

Is taking the trolley better than driving to Diamond Head?

Absolutely. Parking inside the Diamond Head crater is extremely limited and often sells out months in advance. The Diamond Head Line drops you off right at the trailhead, saving you the stress of hunting for a spot or being turned away because the lot is full.

When does the KCC Farmers’ Market happen?

The world-famous KCC Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Our Diamond Head Line is the most popular way to get there—hop on an early trolley to grab the best local honey, coffee, and breakfast treats before the crowds arrive!

Diamond Head Crater

Hawaii’s most iconic volcanic landmark and the world’s most famous coastal hike, offering legendary 360-degree views of the Pacific.

KCC Farmer's Market

Oahu’s premier Saturday morning destination for fresh island treats, local coffee, and artisanal Hawaiian snacks.

Pioneer Saloon

A rustic-cool local legend famous for its gourmet plate lunches and the best garlic ahi on the island.
