The Bishop Museum is a great place to take children. They are open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm. Right now through September 3rd, they have a traveling family exhibit called “Expedition: Dinosaur”. Come face to face with lifelike animatronic dinosaurs. While you’re there, check out the Science Adventure Center in Bishop Museum’s new exhibit called “Land, Sea, Sky.”

Diamond Head Hike
One of the most iconic locations in Waikiki is Diamond Head Crater. It’s located on the East side of Waikiki and has 360 views of Oahu. The hike is great for kids because it is relatively easy and you can do the whole hike in about 1.5 hours. There is only water at the bottom, so make sure to bring a water container. The hike is easy, but plan to do it in the morning before the temperatures rise. The Waikiki Trolley’s Green Line will drop you off inside the caldera and stops every 35 minutes.
Parents and children call all agree that Pearl Harbor is a magnificent place to visit. The USS Missouri (Mighty Mo Battleship) and the USS Bowfin Submarine are great places for kids to explore and learn at the same time. Pearl Harbor is on the Purple Line and stops every 70 minutes.

Part bowling alley, part arcade, part gastropub, all fun. Lucky Strike is the perfect place to spend a rainy day with kids in Honolulu. Located inside Ala Moana Mall Lucky Strike has the largest indoor LED video board in Honolulu. To get there take the Pink Line to Ala Moana Mall. The entrance is located on the 3rd floor by Macy’s.
