Duke Kahanamoku Statue

You can’t come to O’ahu and not make a ‘pilgrimage’ to the nine-foot-high statue of Duke Kahanamoku, probably one of the most famous Hawaiian of all time. Not only was he an Olympic gold medalist and ‘larger than life’ character, but he was also seen as the father of surfing across the globe. The bronze statue is stunning in appearance, and it is no wonder it is one of O’ahu’s and Hawaii’s most visited attractions. His statue is a featured stop on all of Waikiki Trolley’s lines.

Waikiki Beach isn’t all about sun, surf and statues either. You’ll find great watering holes and restaurants right along the water such as The Beach Bar at Moana Surfrider, Duke’s Waikiki, Azure and Mai Tai Bar.
